The extensive English park surrounding the Schloss Wartegg on the Rorschacherberg (SG) is located amidst beautiful nature, close to Lake Constance. This green oasis in Eastern Switzerland, where Empress Zita once stayed, was created by master hands in 1860 and today delights those seeking relaxation and lovers of nature and garden art equally as a national garden monument. On an area of around 130,000 square meters, guests can linger in the rose garden or under linden, plane, and chestnut trees and discover shady watercourses and cozy clearings. The castle garden (2,500 square meters) is also embedded in the park, where rare vegetables, herbs, berries, and flowers are cultivated.
The beautiful Schloss Schadau in Thun (BE) is located at a unique location on the shore of Lake Thun. The Schadaupark is a local recreation area and was designed as an English garden. Here by the lake at the Aare, visitors enjoy the panorama with Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. The park contains some ancient trees that can be discovered on a tree trail.
